DC43® Harness Data allows you to efficiently define the electrical and electronic schematics of the system. Use DC43®’s powerful API or import existing from/to lists from other tools or sources to seamlessly integrate DC43® into your harness design process. DC43® Harness Data brings together schematic, component and geometry definitions for a unified and consistent design process and serves as the basis for automated harness generation.

Efficient qualification of master data components

DC43® Harness Components you can efficiently qualify electrical and electronic master data components such as connectors, brackets or cable ducts. Define geometry information using DC43’s internal geometry modelling capabilities or import existing CAD files. Extend component information with harness connection points and create a database of reusable components for automated harness layout generation.

DC43® Harness Layout

Automated generation of 3D layouts

DC43® Harness Layout uses proprietary, sophisticated algorithms to automatically generate 3D harness layouts. Using a simple API, existing connectors and intermediate supports can be linked together to automatically generate an optimised network of segments and nodes in near real time. Integrated physics simulation ensures compliance with constraints such as minimum bend radii and guarantees collision-free design even within complex geometries.

DC43® Harness Routing

Optimised routing for each wire

DC43® Harness Routing allows the automated routing of connections defined in the schematic through the generated 3D harness layout. Define boundary conditions such as EMC separation rules and use pathfinding algorithms to calculate the optimum routes through the layout and the lengths of individual wires and cables. The automated routing also determines the resulting diameters and bend radii for the harness segments, ensuring integration feasibility.

DC43® Harness Analysis

Real-time visualization of 3D wire harness designs

DC43® Harness Analysis enables real-time visualisation of the generated 3D wire harness, including its segments, nodes, connectors, fasteners and the complex geometry of the installation space. Inspect the automatically routed individual wires and cables in detailed views and export the harness geometry to common CAD formats such as STEP. It also supports the generation of bills of materials for comprehensive documentation and analysis.
